Juneteenth marks the celebration of the proclamation made in Texas that all enslaved people were free. The announcement finally made it to Texas on June 19, 1865 – two and a half years after The Emancipation Proclamation. Restoration Tribe was founded by Bailey Hinton to bring people together to sing praises to God. What better way to commemorate this joyous occasion than through song!
