From Mahler’s sweeping symphonic struggles in the Adagietto from his Symphony No. 5 to Schoenberg’s haunting, beautiful Transfigured Night, and music from Herrmann’s chilling score for Hitchcock’s Psycho, this program reveals music as a mirror of the soul.
