Continue to write history while celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave all women the right to vote. This special event will begin with an introduction by veteran television personality Randy Swan, host of our FestivalSpeaks series, and his wife Millie Swan, Chief of Marketing and Medical Staff Services for Forrest General Hospital. City Councilwoman, Mary Dryden, and Dr. Sheila Varnado, retired Colonel, will give an historical overview of the extraordinary suffrage movement, and State Representative Missy McGee will introduce the Keynote Speaker, Jennifer Ingram Johnson, President-Elect of the Mississippi Bar Association, who will share memories and achievements of her mentor, Lieutenant Governor Evelyn Gandy. FestivalSouth is pleased to host this festive luncheon, presented by the 19th Amendment Celebration Committee with generous support from the City of Hattiesburg and the Forrest General Hospital’s Spirit of Women.
