FestivalSouth will open its seventeenth season with another epic musical adventure – Disney’s “Newsies!”

While performances and ticketing will be announced in January, auditions for the singing, dancing cast are now open for application. For the first time in the company’s history, The Hub City Players (HCP) are seeking online submissions for a chance to perform as the spirited Newsies who will bring the story to life on stage.

Auditions are open to post-high-school age performers of all genders and individuals of all performance backgrounds. Full audition information, materials, and applications are available now at hubcityplayers.com. Round one, now open, requires the submission of singing and dancing videos. Submissions are due by December 1, 2025. Performers selected for round two will be invited to live auditions on December 15 and 16, 2025.
